Devan Patel organized his first art exhibition as a teenager and opened his first art gallery in his early 20’s. Patel is interested in how the artist process can expand our understanding of ourselves and the world we live in.

Originally opened as Project Gallery and later renamed to Patel Gallery, Devan Patel has quickly become one of Toronto’s most prominent up-and-coming gallerists and has meaningfully contributed to initiatives with organizations like the Power Plant Contemporary Art Gallery, Edition Art Book Fair, Magenta Foundation, Mercer Union, East End Arts, Art Gallery of Ontario, Art Metropole, Nuit Blanche, Street Art Toronto, Casey House Art With Heart Auction and more.

Coming from outside the art world, Patel has built his career on innovation and fostering strong relationships. As a result, he has developed unique art projects with clients like Google, Facebook, AMEX, MLSE, Pan Am Games, Netflix, Uber, Mongrel Media, Adidas, Porsche, and Yves Saint Laurent amongst others. Patel has also placed artworks by emerging and established artists in important collections like the Art Gallery of Ontario, Royal Bank of Canada, Equitable Bank, Apple, TD Bank, and Scotiabank.
