Alex Sheriff
Alex Sheriff is a multidisciplinary artist whose work recognizes, blurs and erases the gap between human and natural history. Working in drawing, sculpture and film Alex clumsily and playfully adopts the viewpoint of species and matter that are other than human, utilizing his own alternative narratives and histories as a way of navigating the Anthropocene, the new epoch we find ourselves in. Sheriff graduated from OCAD University in Drawing and Painting before moving to New York City where he received his MFA in Fine Arts. Alex now lives in Los Angeles and has most recently exhibited his work at Project Gallery (Toronto) and Allison Milne Gallery (Toronto).
